The Alongside platform is a directory and network for Christian-owned businesses and the households that support them—built on the conviction that the Christian faith should shape how we work, trade, and build together. It's a place to discover faithful local businesses rooted in Christian excellence, sharpen your craft through guilds led by masters in your field, and intentionally keep your hard-earned resources within the Christian economy rather than funding those who oppose Christian values.

Beyond (and in) the platform, Alongside exists to help Christians recover the lost inheritance of vocational excellence, build meaningful partnerships grounded in shared confession, and strengthen the Christian parallel economy.

Any business owned and operated by a professing Christian, who agrees to the historic creeds, is welcome to add their business to our network—anyone will be able to browse the directory for free without an account.

Guilds are specifically created to help Christian men strengthen their craft with men in like-industry, providing structured training and accountability. However, guilds also allow for those interested in learning a new skill or digging further into a hobby to join and learn.

No. The Manifesto describes our convictions around business, the need for Christian coalition in our day, and a vision for excellence—but we do not require our members to sign or agree with our convictions.

Of course, we would love to see all of Christ's people adopt these principles and operate in light of them—we're convinced they can be found directly in the pages of scripture, we're just simply compiling them in our own language.

Our manifesto guides our mission and acts as a lens through which every decision and platform feature is considered. Further, it defines what we officially will educate towards through guilds, future educational content, and social media posts.

Guilds are formal, goal-oriented member communities organized by craft and industry. They provide structured membership, peer accountability, formal training by masters, monthly video meetings (what we call "Guild Halls"), eventually in-person meetings, and more—all rooted in the Christian faith and oriented towards the pursuit of excellence.

Think Better Business Bureau accreditation, but for genuinely Christian practice. The goal is to create a truly high-trust network of Christian businesses across the nation.

Certification cannot be bought. We perform a formal review of your business ethics, confession of faith, leadership structure—even church membership—and more. Once certified, your profile is clearly designated across the platform, enhancing trust with prospective customers, and receives priority placement in search. Certification is reviewed annually.

Alongside is specifically designed for coalition across Christian traditions. We're not building an echo-chamber or looking for men who only think like we do. Our time calls for brothers to work together, recognizing (and honoring) our differences, for the good of our cities, nation, and families.

Further, Alongside is driven by a clear, convictional vision of what God calls his people to. We want to encourage others to pursue these things in their own stations and place. If we only build for those who think exactly how we do, we won't be able to rebuild the walls of our once great nation. And so, we welcome all creedal Christians to join, and then, we'll call them higher.

It's fine to prefer your own people—we do too, and really, we must—and yet so to that priority should extend to the broader people of God. Prefer your own people first, and where pieces are missing, work with Christians outside of your own tradition and community. In this way, we maintain the unity that Christ prayed for, while honoring our convictions and bolstering our local economies.
