Terms of Service
Last updated: October 17, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Alongside Coalition platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Alongside Coalition provides a vetted network of Christian-owned businesses, industry-specific guilds with structured membership, community features including chat, video halls, and peer reviews. The Service is operated by Alongside Coalition ("we", "us", "our").
3. Account Registration
You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you're under 18, you may use Alongside only with a parent's or guardian's permission and supervision. To access certain features, you must create an account and affirm our Statement of Faith and business ethics. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent business information
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
- Post spam, unsolicited promotions, or duplicate content
- Post objectionable content, including content that is hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or that targets a person
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report a review, message, business, or member from the Service, and block any member so they can't send you direct messages. We review reports promptly, generally within 24 hours, and remove content that violates these Terms. Members who post it may be suspended or removed from the Service.
5. Business Listings
Business owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listing information. We reserve the right to remove or suspend any listing that violates these Terms or our community standards. Listings undergo a review process and may be flagged by the community for review.
6. Guild Membership
Guild membership is subject to approval by guild officers. Membership tiers may require paid subscriptions processed by our payment processor. Membership may be suspended or revoked for violations of guild standards or these Terms.
7. Reviews and Content
By posting reviews, messages, or other content ("User Content"), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content in connection with the Service. You represent that you own or have the right to share any content you post.
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. We moderate reviews and reserve the right to remove content that is fraudulent, abusive, or violates our guidelines.
8. Payments and Subscriptions
Certain features require paid subscriptions. Payments are processed by our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the applicable rate. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the billing portal.
In our mobile apps, purchases and billing open in your web browser and are made with our payment processor, not through the App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google do not process or support these payments.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us for refund requests.
9. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content) are and remain the property of Alongside Coalition. Our trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used without our prior written consent.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Our forms are protected from automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile, which may collect device and behavioral data to verify you are human. This use is subject to the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
11. Certification Program
Gold-tier certification involves a review of business practices and faith attestation. Certification is granted at our discretion and may be revoked if the business no longer meets our standards. Certification does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of any business's products or services.
12. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of business listings, reviews, or user content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alongside Coalition shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alongside Coalition and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
16. Mobile Apps
If you use our iOS app, these Terms are between you and Alongside Coalition only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content, maintenance, and support. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the app's purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes a third party's intellectual property. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow the usage rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
